This painting was inspired by my Mom’s love of Lilacs. Growing up, we had a beautiful lilac bush next to our house. My Dad would often pick little bouquets from the towering bush and bring them in to my Mom. I still remember the way her face would light up as she smelled those beautiful flowers. It’s amazing how such a small flower can capture such big memories.
